About the Library

Bayburt University Central Library was founded in 09.03.2010. The Library is an important center for education and research. Our aims to become a center where users easily access quality information all the time.

The library space consists of three different rooms: The Serials Room and two Reading Rooms. The library network works on KYBELE Automation System. The automation system holds a database of all the library material. Users may search the material by entering keywords and then reach the material of their choise. The book collection is arranged according to the Library of Congress Classification (LC) System. All printed materials are on open access in the reading rooms.

 Central Library joined the Anatolian University Libraries Consortium (ANKOS) in 2009. Our library is on communication with other university libraries (KİTS) and providing materials from other university libraries within the framework of this cooperation.

The library staff consists of seven personnels. The Library Director is Aziz ASMA, three employees library science degree and three civil servants.
