The opening ceremony of the Symposium “Philosophical Heritage of Turkish People”, jointly organized by Bayburt University, Ahi Evran University and the Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University, was held on September 19, in Bishkek.
More than 100 distinguished scientists and philosophers attended.the Symposium hosted by Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University. At the Symposium about the philosophical lines of Turkish-Islamic culture and the world of contemplation of Turkish-speaking people, 89 papers will be presented under 24 titles, which bring together the disciplines of history, philosophy, language and sociology. The Symposium, attended by advisor to the President of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Rayev, Rector of KTMU Prof. Dr. Sabahattin Balcı, Rector of Ahi Evran University Prof. Dr. Vatan Karakaya, Bayburt University Rector's Chief Advisor Philosopher Prof. Dr. Necmettin Tozlu, bureaucrats, academicians and students, will last three days.
Rector of Bayburt University Prof. Dr. Selçuk Coşkun, who could not attend the symposium due to the academic opening program, expressed that this Symposium will provide important contribution for the Turkish-Islamic contemplation.
