Definition: Management Information Systems (MIS); It is an interdisciplinary field that includes business and information issues. Innovations in information systems are developing rapidly and the success of businesses in their activities in the digital age, we live in, depends on the effective and efficient use of information systems and information technologies. The fact that digital systems have become an indispensable tool in the daily lives of individuals and in many management processes in organizations necessitates keeping these technological infrastructures up-to-date. It is an important step to examine these infrastructures and to choose and install the most suitable ones for existing or designed systems. Effective management of these stages is only possible with managers who are specialized in their field. These decision makers aim to reach the most accurate information as soon as possible and to analyze this information in the most accurate way in the decision-making processes. For this, decision support systems are needed. The design, implementation and control of these systems constitute the main subject of the field of management information systems.
Purpose: With the rapid developments in artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, it is seen that decision support systems are changing rapidly. The business world, which wants to keep up with this change, needs personnel who have knowledge of information and technology infrastructure and who have system analysis skills. Especially in recent years, these needs have increased significantly. In this context, it is important that graduates who will work in this field should have an infrastructure that will meet these needs. In this context, the curriculum of the department is planned to include the most up-to-date courses in the fields of business, management and information, and the courses are supported by current examples and practices by academics with industry experience. In this direction, the students will learn, Introduction to Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, Introduction to Algorithm and Programming, Introduction to Web Design, Object-Oriented Programming, Cyber Law, Information Security and Ethics, Project Management, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Arduino Programming, Human-Computer Interaction, Strategic Management. They can attend many courses such as Electronic Business Administration, Data Mining, General Accounting, General Business, System Analysis and Design. In addition, there is an "Internship Course" in the curriculum of the department for students to transform the theoretical knowledge they have acquired in the courses into practice in the relevant sectors.

The curriculum of the MIS department is based on business, management and information courses covering four years, and the applications of information courses are planned to support management decisions.
