Mountains with an altitude between 2000 and 3000 metres surrounding the province of
Bayburt offer unique opportunities, especially for 'mountain and nature hiking'. Çoruh

River is not only suitable for freshwater fishing but also having one of the most import-

ant streams of our country in terms of mass flow rate, and it is very suitable for water

sports such as rafting. Kop Mountain within the borders of the province was declared as

a 'Tourism Center' and planning works of the 'Kop Mountain Ski and Winter Sports

Center' that established on the center of this mountain were completed by the Ministry

of Tourism.
