The festival, "Sporfest", which was first organized by the student communities of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, was the scene of colorful images.
In addition to its scientific and cultural activities, our university continues to increase its reputation with its social studies. In this context, a festival was organized at our university that brought together sports, music and entertainment. Organized for the first time in order to reinforce the friendship between students, Sporfest was held in the Open Amphitheater area of our Bâberti Complex.
Within the scope of the festival, which was held with the participation of hundreds of our students, events such as folk dance shows, zumba performances, rope pulling, sack race and musical entertainment activities were held. Within the scope of the festival, Turkish sausage bread and beverages were also served to the participants.
Our Rector, who spent time with the students at the festival, Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen said that they witnessed the energy of the youth reflected in the festival spirit. He stated that the aim of holding the festival is to minimize the negative effects of the pandemic process and to ensure that the students who deal with the intense course tempo also relieve stress.
Stating that they really care about student communities, our Rector Prof. Dr. Türkmen said, “It is very important for us to increase the social mobility and interaction of our students. In this context, we give great importance to our student communities and their activities. It is also very important for our students to participate in cultural, artistic and sportive activities, especially under the umbrella of the particular student community. In this context, we will continue such activities throughout the Spring semester in order to create a rich social interaction at our university. While activities include entertainment and fun events also there are activities for our students to develop themselves personally and professionally.”
Expressing that the cultural, artistic and sportive activities carried out by the students add additional value to the university, our Rector Prof. Dr. Türkmen; He congratulated the students who contributed to the organization of the festival and the academic and administrative staff who supported them. Our students stated that they were very happy about the festival in which they had an unforgettable day. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen thanked all the university management, especially, who put too much support in the organization of the program.
